Shipping Policy

At River & Root Aquatics, the health and safe arrival of our livestock is our top priority. All livestock are packed professionally using insulated packaging and appropriate temperature control methods based on seasonal conditions.

Shipping Schedule

• Orders ship Monday–Wednesday  

• Livestock are shipped via UPS  

• UPS Next Day Air is strongly recommended for the safest delivery experience and full Live Arrival Guarantee eligibility

Weather & Seasonal Shipping

• Shipments may be delayed or rescheduled during periods of extreme heat or cold  

• River & Root Aquatics reserves the right to delay shipment when weather conditions are considered unsafe for livestock  

• Heat and cold packs are added at our discretion based on forecasted temperatures

Shipping Address Responsibility

Buyers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

River & Root Aquatics is not responsible for:

• Incorrect or incomplete addresses  

• Packages forwarded or rerouted by the customer  

• Delays caused by address correction requests

Live Arrival Guarantee is void on orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the buyer.

Delayed Shipment Requests & Holding Fees

Orders requiring delayed shipment dates, vacation holds, or special scheduling accommodations may be subject to a $10 per day livestock holding surcharge.

This fee helps cover:

• Additional care and feeding  

• Tank space and monitoring  

• Extended maintenance and handling

Holding fees begin after the originally scheduled shipping window unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
